Fertility and Lifestyle – How lifestyle choices can affect conception – Monday 24th June, 7pm
The Scottish Government has recently announced new measures to bring NHS funded fertility treatment across Scottish Health Boards into line. Good news for some, however current criteria consider lifestyle choices and exclude treatment for some patients based on their lifestyles.
At this Cafe Science event, Infertility Network Scotland and Dr Sarah Martins Da Silva, a consultant at the Dundee Assisted Conception Unit and also the University of Dundee, will discuss the latest research and evidence supporting the idea that lifestyle can have a profound impact on our ability to conceive, both naturally and during fertility treatment.
In an age where so much emphasis is placed on sex education and contraception, are we as a nation really educated about our fertility and the true meaning of family planning?
Join us at the award winning Chambers Coffee House and Restaurant, 34 South Tay Street on Monday 24th June 2013 at 7pm.
This is a FREE event and EVERYONE IS WELCOME. There is no need to book in advance but arrive early to avoid disappointment.
