Climate Change – Soils Will Make it Hot! Monday 25th October, 7pm

Over the last decade, a lot has been said about climate change, and much of the predictions about what will happen to our climate have not been very optimistic. What a lot of people don’t know is that soils, with the vast amounts of carbon they contain, are likely to make things a lot worse still than what has generally been predicted so far.

Join Phillip Baveye from the University of Abertay at Chambers Coffee Shop & Restaurant on Monday 25th of October at 7pm as he explains what is likely to happen and why, and tells us about the work being done at Abertay to refine our predictions of how fast things are likely to evolve. This information will be useful as we attempt to adapt to climate change, and we in Dundee prepare for the onslaught of tourists, as Scottish beaches will become among the most popular in Europe…
