Spinning Straw into Gold – Monday 24th February 2014, 7pm
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if our cars and airplanes ran on a fuel that reduced CO2 emissions while promoting food production? Biofuels made from cereal straw could do just that.
Claire’s team work as part of the BBSRC Sustainable Bioenergy Centre to make the production pipeline for these ‘second-generation’ biofuels more efficient and economically viable. Their particular focus is improving the quality of straw for various valuable applications.
Join us at Avery & Co, 34 South Tay Street, Dundee on Monday 24th February 2014 at 7pm.
This is a FREE event and EVERYONE IS WELCOME. There is no need to book in advance but arrive early to avoid disappointment.
